Kite Fishing For Sailfish

My two favorite things as a kid were flying a kite and fishing, now and all in one method what an exciting way to fish.  Implemented when the migration is in full swing and fish are here in big numbers is a technique known as kite fishing.   Setting up in what Captain Price would call the “bite zone” he deploys two kites with three baits per kite.  Baits that are used are live and caught by you in the morning.  Baits are suspended right on the surface hanging from the kite making for the best presentation possible.  With this method the bite is often seen by everyone onboard and multiple hook-ups are common place.   These techniques are usually implemented after the first of the year and run thru the spring.  Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) Kingfish, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Bonito’s, Cobia and sharks are a common by-catch to this technique.

Flying kites and fishing live baits can make anyone’s day.  Let Captain Price help make it your day.
