Back In Water, Dorian Relief To Grand Cay

Report Date: September 25, 2019

Great day today

The DayMaker is back in the slip. She’s ready to fish tomorrow after 27 days in the boat yard. I can’t wait to get on the water and re boot!

On another note we took a delivery of donations from the Mastroianni Family Foundation that got loaded on the OUTLAW today and is headed to Grand Cay departing tonight for a morning arrival. After helping Capt Ian load up I got back on DayMaker and put the outriggers on, got the console bolted down with Finn and Finn washed the boat.

I went to my first board meeting with the Stuart Sailfish Club Foundation and we had a great meeting discussing future plans for phase 3 of our Bahamas relief. We almost hit our goal of $250,000 in monetary donations for phase 1 and 2 funding and will be looking for continued support for phase 3 of rebuilding. Charlie the President of the club will be visiting some hard hit areas early next week to meet with local leaders and figure out a game plan. Obviously this is weather pending per Tropical Storm Karen.

Also don’t forget we have our Volunteers appreciation party this Saturday from 6-10 at the Stuart Sailfish Club Pavilion. Food, drinks and music to say thank you and share some great stories. We hope to see you there!
