Daytime Swordfish Trip On Two Daze Off

Report Date: October 4, 2019

Awesome day back out on the water with Charles and company on the Two Daze Off. We started the day trolling and got lucky to be near a free jumping sailfish that we got to bite and caught. Saw another one within the next 40 mins but no bite and a couple clip offs. At 9:15 I climbed down from the tower and told Charles I thought our best chance for meat was to daytime swordfish and look for mahi on the way Out and back in. Water quality inshore of 240 was horrible and lifeless and current was too much for rod and reel bottom fishing. We had our first sword baits in the water at 10:30 and caught a 75lb fish on the first drift and a nice squid. Next drift no bites and 3rd drift we caught a spunky sword that jumped 8 times and weighed in at 219lbs. Great day, great times. Check out the meat difference big fish pumpkin small fish regular.
