Dinner And A Show Deep Sea Fishing Stuart Fl

Report Date: September 21, 2018

Had a fun day with Charles, Alisa and Capt Marshal on the Two Daze Off today. My goal was to catch some snapper, look for mahis, then go make a couple drops for swords. We caught our limit of nice Vermilion snapper by 8:30 and we headed towards the sword grounds. Between stemming the tide and stoping on tons of good looking conditions we never had time for a sword drop before the weather deteriorated and time ran out.

However, we did catch 10 nice mahi with the biggest around 22lbs. We let one go, caught a skipjack tuna as well. Saw lots of skipjack schools from 6-800ft. And pretty sure Charles, Marshal and I each got our eye on some 30lb class YF jumping around with the skippies.

We fished countless acres of grass, found a 30 gallon blue drum, found a 10 gallon yellow bucket with rope, found many boards and a 7ft by 2.5ft plank of wood. Out of all that we caught the only 2 mahi we saw.

Found an edge a little further east and caught 8 mahis trolling.

When we thought about switching gears the weather was looking volatile so we ran back Inshore and I was hoping for a sail. 20 minutes on the first spot no bites. 5 minutes on the last spot and we iced the cake with a sweet acrobatic sailfish.

Great day good eats and a show!
