Happy Motherís Day

Report Date: May 12, 2019

Back on the water today putting myself to the test after being forced to take the last 3 days off from being sick.

Fishing was tougher than we had hoped for but we kept the rods bent and out some meat in the box.

After catching some live bait we started our bottom fishing. We got rocked up a handful of times and pulled some hooks as well. No grouper in the box today but we didn’t catch 9 Amberjacks keeping a limit of 6. Couple rudderfish, couple almaco jacks and 10 lane snapper. We kite fished for an hour and only managed a couple of kingfish bites. Storms moved in and instead of re setting the kites I made my way inshore to look for cobia and try to dodge the offshore moving storms. We had a dozen bites from kingfish and barracuda but no cobia.

When I got home I got a call from Mike and Ray who had their moms out for Mother’s Day. They discovered a banana in one of the ladies coolers.

🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Oh well. Guess I’m off the hook...
