Hurricane Relief Effort Underway

Report Date: September 3, 2019

have some great news that those that stayed on Grand Cay have all been accounted for as safe. Found this out about 9:30 this morning but just getting time to update.

We still are working on logistics for a small flotilla to head over with aide ASAP.

We have 5 boats established to make the run with multiple Doctors, Paramedics and other medical staff. We also have a a good amount of medical supplies.

Currently I’m working on helicopter or small plane logistics for a fly over of the area to see if we can actually get the boats there on Friday. The concerns since day one has been the debris field. Safety is important for everyone involved heading over.

Starting on Wednesday at 8am the Stuart Sailfish Club is a non for profit 501c3 and will be a drop off location for life sustainable supplies. The address is 3867 SE Evans Terrace Stuart Florida 34997. They are also accepting monetary donations to purchase items that are needed but not provided. Or to help pay for fuel for boat or airplane deliveries of products directly to the people. Items donated will be benefiting Grand Cay, Grand Bahama and the Abacos surrounding islands.

Volunteers may be needed at the club to help unload and organize items in appropriate clusters.

Another drop off location will be the Stuart Jet Center and I have a meeting at 9am there tmrw and will update needs for volunteers like 2016z

Thanks for all the calls text and messages. This is definitely all hands on deck. If I haven’t got back to you directly yet please just follow our updates and I’ll try to answer questions best I can. After Mathew and the airport relief we learned a lot and hopefully this will be bigger and better we all know it’s gonna be needed.

Thank you in advance
